Position Title: Director of Auxiliary Programs 
Reports to: Director of Facilities & Operations `
FSLA Classification: Exempt/12-month employee
Office: Grade School Campus
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Auxiliary Programs will help with the vision, planning, and execution of all auxiliary programs in support of both campuses.  The role will include recruitment, hiring, and training of all support staff for existing programming, including Grade School Extended Day Program (EDP), After School Academies, and Summer School.  This position will be responsible for expansion of Summer Camps and programming at the high school and will explore additional opportunities for growth in the community, such as before school care.  This position will be responsible for the business matters associated with auxiliary programming.  

QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Attention to detail and high-level problem-solving solves
  • Strength in forming internal and external relationships in order to elevate programmatic offerings through vendor relationships and coordination
  • This individual must demonstrate a growth mindset and possess strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CPR and First Aid training required
  • At least 4 years of teaching experience or experience working with children; working knowledge of child development, education theories and practices and current trends in education
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with students of all ages and also manage groups of children effectively; ability to work as a partner with families and our Notre Dame de Sion teaching teams to support children
  • Ability to be creative and assertive with after-school and summer programs
  • Ability and willingness to adjust structures and programs for students' needs
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (especially Google Docs and Sheets), online billing systems and other database systems
  • A sense of integrity and ethics, and an ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to complete tasks in a timely manner in order to move projects forward

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to sit at a desk working on a computer for an extended period of time
  • Ability to walk around the campus for long periods of time
  • Ability to sit, bend, kneel, stand and walk frequently
  • Work Hours:  School Year:  10 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Summer Camp: 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
