Job Description:
Reporting to the High School Principal, the Athletic Director (AD) assists in  our school goal to develop students who are well-rounded, faith-filled citizens and servant leaders.  This is accomplished in an atmosphere of love, respect, hopefulness, openness, and by building connections through relationships.  
 
The AD ensures compliance with the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHAA)  rules and regulations, represents the school's athletic programs, exposes student-athletes to different opportunities, manages department finances and budgets, and is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, hiring, and evaluating coaches.  The AD will directly manage the Assistant Athletic Director and is responsible for the delegation, distribution, and oversight of all responsibilities of the Athletic Department.  
 
The ideal individual will not only be able to build relationships and rapport with the student-athletes of Notre Dame de Sion, coaches and families, but will be detail-oriented and a strong communicator.  The AD must be able to balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively while modeling the Sion Success Outcomes.  
 
Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Workday regularly includes multiple or conflicting demands, deadlines and pressures
• May work at desk or computer for extended periods of time
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard
• Occasionally bend, stoop and squat
• Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Work primarily in a climate controlled office environment
• Work outside weather conditions during sporting events
