Archie School District is located in a rural community south of Kansas City and Harrisonville. We are a collaborative group of teachers, staff, and community members dedicated to educating our students. The school counselor's role is to design and deliver school counseling programs that improve student outcomes. They lead, advocate, and collaborate to promote equity and access for all students by connecting their school counseling program to the school's academic mission and improvement plan. 

The successful candidate will be able to: 
  • Articulate an understanding of a comprehensive school counseling program. 
  • Facilitate effective whole-group, small-group, and individual counseling sessions. 
  • Demonstrate a strong background in responsive services.  
  • Partner and collaborate with families to meet individual student needs.
  • Demonstrate experience working with at-risk students. 
  • Articulate a plan to work collaboratively with staff and outside agencies to support student learning.  
  • Demonstrate effective teaching experience at the elementary level. (Preferred)
  • Describe their experience with standardized testing. 
  • Utilize and maintain elementary class schedules via the student information system
This position is a 185 day per year position. Regular contract of 165 days plus an additional 20 days.
