- Support the lead teacher in instruction and daily responsibilities with the students.

- Possess the ability to nurture and support young students as they begin formal school.
- Possess effective classroom management skills.
- Collaborate and plan activities with the lead teacher.
- Work with small groups of students and one on one with students.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
- Be a collaborative member of a highly professional learning community.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and growth as the position may require.
