Administrative Assistant - Sappington Elementary

Administrative Assistant - Sappington Elementary
- Full-time position, 40 hours/week
- Estimated Start Date: 7/1/2024
- Schedule: 12 months, Monday-Friday
- LAOP Level D - Beginning hourly rate: $19.69, subject to experience

- Non-exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists administrators, teachers, staff, students, families, parent group, and community as needed
- Finalizes student enrollment within building and verifying records during school year and summer months
- Processes student withdrawals and forwarding student records
- Enters and maintains student transportation information
- Assists with building arrival and dismissal process
- Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, routes calls. Sends and responds to emails
- Maintains school records and files for building, principal and related requirements
- Manages building financial resources including but not limited to: creating budget and entering budget adjustments, depositing collected cash/checks, creating purchase orders, reconciling credit card purchases, and monitoring print shop charges.
- Distributes mail
- Assists with building security in regards to visitors and personnel access including but not limited to: verifying reason for visit, scanning visitors’ driver's license, monitoring security cameras and radios, monitoring approved parent volunteer list, and distributing and activating staff key cards
- Types, prepares, distributes, files records/reports, correspondence, mailings etc. related to building functions and principal needs
- Maintains items necessary for building communication and efficiency such as staff lists, calendars, fliers, etc.
- Assists with planning and organization of field trips
- Maintains paperwork for required safety drills/emergency drills
- Monitors sub assignments and fills building vacancies as needed; prepares information for substitute teachers each day
- Prepares discipline reports
- Assists with organization of events and assemblies
- Supervises students in hallways, offices, and as needed by building
- Processes daily attendance for the student population and corrects/approves timesheets for building staff
- Provides appropriate first aid needs
- Schedules use of building.
- Submits work orders for the building as needed
- Attends Open House and Conferences
- Orders, processes, and maintains office materials and equipment.
- Administers medication according to policy and regulations.
- Attends staff meetings and professional learning as directed
- Performs all work in accordance with governmental laws, state mandates, and Lindbergh policies
- Provides professional and courteous customer service to all parents, staff, and visitors
