We are seeking an enthusiastic **Special Education Teacher** who is passionate about nurturing young minds in the primary grades (K-1) at Hillsboro Primary School. This certified position offers a competitive salary ranging from $42,800 to $76,600, based on your experience (all years of prior teaching service are applicable), and includes a full benefits package. You will need a Missouri State Certification in MILD/MOD - CROSS CAT to join our team.

Position Summary:  
Make a significant impact by providing tailored and energetic learning experiences to young students with a variety of special needs. Your role is crucial in ensuring these young learners achieve the educational milestones set forth by the Missouri Department of Education and our district's standards.

Essential Duties:
- Create an engaging and adaptable educational environment that addresses the individual needs of young learners.
- Collaborate with other teachers to design stimulating lessons that foster skill development and a love for learning.
- Use innovative educational techniques to enhance student development in essential early childhood skills such as language, social interaction, and motor coordination.
- Regularly assess student progress and maintain open communication with parents and staff to maximize student success.
- Establish a classroom atmosphere that is structured yet nurturing, ensuring young students feel safe and supported.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Stay energized and current by participating in professional development opportunities and educational workshops.
- Actively contribute to school meetings, committees, and mentorship programs, enhancing our educational community.
- Lead or assist in activities that enrich our students’ school experience, from story time to sensory play.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee paraeducators and ensure they are effectively contributing to our students' learning and growth.

Qualification Requirements:
- Valid Missouri State Teaching Certificate in Special Education.
