Faculty, Middle School Computer Science

The Middle School is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach 5 sections of computer science, robotics, and programming. This position will begin in August of 2024 for the 2024-25 school year. 

A successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education, computer science or a closely related field with a minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably with middle school students. A sense of humor and a positive and ambitious attitude are highly desirable. Enthusiasm for working in a middle school environment, a demonstrated commitment to innovative pedagogy as well as the ability to thrive in a collaborative community that values creativity and independence in the classroom are all essentials. Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of robotics and basic/intermediate programming.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to design and implement a curriculum appropriate for middle school students. Applicants should also have experience with or interest in learning to coach FIRST Lego Robotics.
