Torah Prep School, the largest Jewish Day School in the state of Missouri providing a dual curriculum
religious and secular education to 320 students, is looking for a principal to lead the K-8 th grade general
studies department. We seek a strong, compassionate leader with a vision and passion for education who has
a track record of success in fostering a strong academic environment for all learners. The candidate should be
adept at identifying and hiring superior faculty and facilitating faculty supervision for growth. They should
appreciate a student-centered culture and be attuned to the educational and social/emotional needs of the
students and their unique potential. The individual must be a collaborative team player who can lead
effectively while listening to and incorporating the perspectives of others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Support educational staff with daily instruction/classroom support
*Encourage students to set and maintain appropriate standards for behavior and academic performance
*Support curriculum and instruction for daily instruction, short/long term planning, data driven decisions and
keeping current with literature, new research and best practices related to the position
*Responsible for implementation of hiring, development, and evaluation processes. Oversees accountability
for professional outcomes of all employees being supervised, providing formal and informal feedback to
promote employee growth and development
*Forms strategic relationships and partnerships with parents to promote collaboration for achievement of all
students at Torah Prep School.
*Develops and leads processes and procedures to ensure the safety, inclusion, and wellbeing of all persons at
Torah Prep School.
*Leads with integrity, empathy and builds trust.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
*Principal Certification
*Special Education or General Education Teaching Certification
*5+ years of experience teaching/ 3+ years with Education Administration experience
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Top-notch supervisory and leadership skills.
*Proven ability to effectively communicate with parents, teachers, students, and community leaders.
*Familiarity with local, state, and federal education policies and regulations.
*Thorough understanding of how current learning and teaching styles affect education.
*Strong creative thinking and crisis management skills.
