Job Description:
Primary Objective: To plan and deliver a program of instruction that meets students’ needs, is consistent with good practice, and fulfills the expectations criteria for teachers as identified in the Webster Groves School District teacher evaluation tool.
Essential Functions:

• Teach according to curriculum guidelines specified by the school district.
• Maintain ongoing curriculum evaluation and development to meet the needs of students.
• Collaborate with other faculty in the delivery of proper instructional approaches, working to serve the various learning styles and needs.
• Implement curriculum and instruction in a way consistent with District's mission statement.
• Show empathy for and understanding of students.
• Share ideas and observations with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Develop with parents and students a cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and objectivity.
• Facilitate resolution of problems that might arise with students and parents.
• Assess student performance often and objectively.
• Continue intellectual and professional development.
• Strong content knowledge
• Ability to make connections with students through words and actions
• Ability to set up and support a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in music education required
Certification: Requires Missouri teacher certification (Music – Vocal)
Experience: Expertise in vocal instruction with the ability to provide group lessons
