Executive Director of Human Resources
  • First contracted day: 7/1/2024
  • 12 month position
  • Salary to be determined, commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
  • Oversee classified personnel
  • Serve as Title IX compliance coordinator
  • Conduct investigations into personnel claims and matters
  • Aid chief human resources officer in confidential personnel matters, including conferencing with employees as necessary
  • Conduct manager trainings (i.e. employee evaluations, overtime, handbooks)
  • Conduct annual board policy and procedure review 
  • Develop Human Resources Budget
  • Develop contracts and letters of employment for all staff 
  • Manage extra duty/extra pay stipends and positions
  • Assist with creating and updating salary schedules and calculation of raises
  • Oversee employee handbook revisions and legal compliance
  • Serve as co-chair of district negotiations team
  • Serve on district calendar committee
  • Maintain job descriptions
  • Oversee Employee Leave, FMLA, and ADA compliance
  • Attend Board of Education meetings and workshops 
  • Manage unemployment claims and hearings
  • Manage workman's compensation claims
  • Performance of other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the chief human resources officer or superintendent of schools
  • Supervises Human Resources Generalists, Nurses and Safety and Security Department
Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources or Master’s of Education in Educational Administration. 
  • Experience Preferred in Human Resources or Educational Administration
  • Thorough Knowledge of District policy and relevant State and Federal laws
  • Skills and experience in writing effective policies, communications and employee handbooks
  • Knowledge concepts of Human Resource management
  • Computer skills in PC and Google based software programs
