Job Description:
The Steelville R-3 School District is seeking a highly qualified candidate to lead our newly approved Alternative School. The school will open for the 2024-25 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.) Minimum, bachelor’s degree
2.) Preferred: Valid Missouri Teacher Certificate
3.) Salary commensurate with education and experience
REPORTS TO: Principals/Superintendent
SUMMARY: The teacher is responsible for creating a classroom environment favorable to learning and the personal growth of students enrolled in an alternative education setting; establishing effective rapport with students; motivating students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for becoming a responsible citizen in accordance with each student’s ability; and to establish good relationships with parents as well as with other staff members.
