The Mexico Public School District is seeking applications for the position of Director of Health Services (RN) for the 2024-2025 school year. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse certification
• Currently licensed to practice in the state of Missouri
• Currently certified in CPR/1st Aid
• Two years of related job experience
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):

• Oversite of the District Nursing Staff
• Provide leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a coordinated school health program.
• Provide a system for prevention and control of communicable diseases; Implement board policy on exclusion and readmission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases.
• Assess, plan, and implement age-appropriate screening programs and provide follow-up referrals for identified health needs
• Observe and triage students for illness and injury in the school setting according to protocols and school district policy.
• Maintains immunization records on all students and submits reports to the state as required.
• Administers medication according to the board policy
• Administers first aid in accordance with established first aid protocol.
• Trains and supervises LPNs, health aids and secretaries who cover the health office
