KVC Academy - St. James, MO 

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) works with students ranging in age from 5-21 years old on communication skills. These skills can include articulation, all aspects of language, augmentative/alternative communication, fluency, and/or voice. 

The SLP works directly with classroom teachers, therapists, other school staff, and families to collaborate on IEP goals and their implementation.

Education:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Licensure/Certification: 
  • State licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
Schedule: 
  • As a contract employee with KVC Academy, you'll have the opportunity to create a schedule that meets your needs.
Compensation: 
  • $55 per hour as Contract
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years old to apply 
  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required 
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Valid auto insurance
  • Passion for working with children and teenagers in special education.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help children and teens achieve their communication goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide targeted therapy to children and teenagers with communication and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement customized therapy plans.
  • Conduct therapy sessions that are tailored to the unique goals and requirements of each child or teen.
  • Monitor and document client progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
