Counselor - High School
Purpose Statement
The job of Counselor - High School is done for the purpose of implementing the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program which focuses on four key components: implementing guidance curriculum, providing individual planning, offering responsive services, and providing system support; supporting students' academic progress by working with instructional staff to properly place and manage student placement; and collaborating and consulting with all stakeholders to provide developmentally appropriate information and recommendations for personal/social development, academic success, and college/career awareness and goal setting.
