Job Description:
Assistant Band Director/Band Teacher
The Kirkwood School District is hiring an Assistant Band Director for the 2024/2025 school year to support the Kirkwood High School Band program.
The Assistant Band Director will:

• Lead Woodwind Sectionals at all grade levels
• Teach Beginning Woodwind Class (Flute or Clarinet)
• Travel and assist with Middle School Bands
• Assist with Solo and Ensemble at Middle School and High school
• Assist with district and state band auditions

This is a full-time, certified teaching position, with benefits, including:

Preferred Experience:

• 3+ years of experience teaching
• High Performance on flute and/or clarinet

Salary is based on the Certified Salary Schedule, dependent on relevant education & experience.
