Job Description:
Gateway Science Academy South, located at 6651 Gravois Ave., St. Louis, is seeking Elementary Classroom Teachers. GSA South serves students in grades PK – 5th. 
While a teacher’s main role is delivering instruction and ensuring that all students are learning, this role also includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Preparing the classroom to enhance learning and to aid in physical, social and emotional development of students.
• Managing student behavior.
• Collaborating with special education teachers to ensure all modifications are met.
• Supervising and organizing field trips.
• Implementing curriculum.
• Submitting weekly lesson plans and quarterly grade reports
• Communicating with parents and students.

Successful candidates will have a commitment to restorative practices and a thorough understanding of elementary aged children. They will possess a Missouri Teaching certificate for Birth – 3rd Grade or 1st – 6th grades. Employment decisions are pending until satisfactory completion of background check.
