The Ferguson Florissant School District is seeking an outstanding educator the position of PE/Health.

The PE teacher ensures the physical education curriculum promotes a physically active lifestyle; develops cooperation,
teamwork, and sportsmanship; and provides ample opportunity for students to engage in
regular physical activity that promotes normal growth and development.
 
Job/Summary: Middle School Physical Education Teacher teacher ensures the
physical education curriculum promotes a physically active lifestyle; develops cooperation,
teamwork, and sportsmanship; and provides ample opportunity for students to engage in
regular physical activity that promotes normal growth and development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Respect for the uniqueness of each individual learner.
2. Ability to meet the individual needs of all students to allow for growth and development.
3. Ability to convey information to students through written and verbal communications.
4. Ability to encourage student ownership of behavior.
5. Strong ability to work as a team member in a STEAM project based setting producing
critical thinkers


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5. A valid Missouri professional teaching certificate in the PE/Health K-12.
6. Gifted certification K-12 preferred or ability to obtain within two years.
7. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in physical education.
