Job Description:
Qualification /Requirements:  The teacher will meet professional certification standards as set by state certification authorities.
 
Steelville elementary is seeking an elementary teacher for the 2024-25 school year.  
 
Essential job duties:

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
• Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning
• Designs and implements lesson plans that are rigorous and aligned to the Missouri state standards and the districts’ priority standards
• Evaluates and progress monitors students’ progress on a regular basis.
• Communicates effectively with all stakeholders
• Active participant in the PLC process within the school
• Prove RTI intervention strategies to groups of students at times designated
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings
• Adheres to all state and federal requirements within the IDEA and 504 plans
• Active participant in grade level planning meetings on a weekly basis
• Other duties assigned by building principal or other administrative team members
• Adheres to all federal, state, and local policies.
• Steelville R-3 currently utilizes a 4 day school week.  

 
The classroom teacher will be required to plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for all students in the classroom setting and plan appropriate interventions throughout the school year to ensure growth for all students.
