Reports To: Associate Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principals

Education and Experience:
  • Missouri Teacher Certification-Minimum: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years classroom experience.
  • Expertise in knowledge and instruction of Missouri Learning Standards.
  • Possess strong knowledge base of the current best practices and trends in education.
  • Advanced skills in assessment and the use of data to inform and support intervention strategies targeted to the needs of students.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a teacher leader.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and teaming.
  • Conversant in SEL, MTSS and culturally responsive teaching and learning.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Support the philosophy and vision of Farmington public schools as stated in CSIP, BSIP and other guiding documents.
  • Facilitate the intellectual and professional development of teachers.
  • Create positive relationships with teachers and administrators
  • Communicate research-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance and improved classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
  • Encourage professional growth and provide organized, individual and /or group learning opportunities for teachers.
  • Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices.
  • Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum.
  • Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software products, and classroom/curriculum related technologies.
  • Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
  • Provide individualized, classroom based coaching with participants to support them in implementing good instructional practices.
  • Participates in goal/plan setting and evaluation.
  • Participates in faculty, grade level, department and/or professional growth community meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
This position is for the 2024-2025 School Year.
