Education and Experience:
- Missouri Teacher Certification-Minimum: Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years classroom experience.
- Expertise in knowledge and instruction of Missouri Learning Standards.
- Possess strong knowledge base of the current best practices and trends in education.
- Advanced skills in assessment and the use of data to inform and support intervention strategies targeted to the needs of students.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a teacher leader.
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and teaming.
- Conversant in SEL, MTSS and culturally responsive teaching and learning.
- Support the philosophy and vision of Farmington public schools as stated in CSIP, BSIP and other guiding documents.
- Facilitate the intellectual and professional development of teachers.
- Create positive relationships with teachers and administrators
- Communicate research-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance and improved classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
- Encourage professional growth and provide organized, individual and /or group learning opportunities for teachers.
- Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices.
- Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum.
- Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software products, and classroom/curriculum related technologies.
- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Provide individualized, classroom based coaching with participants to support them in implementing good instructional practices.
- Participates in goal/plan setting and evaluation.
- Participates in faculty, grade level, department and/or professional growth community meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
