Job Description:
2025-2026 School Year

Primary Objective: Under the direction of the building principal, assist certified staff in supporting students; monitor and report student progress.

Essential Functions:

• Assist teachers with instruction of individual and small groups of students in the classroom
• Assist counselors in their support of students
• Assist with building supervision including but not limited to hallway, lunch, and recess
• Supports the Adventure Club program at Avery Elementary
• Other duties as assigned

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of (60) sixty college hours
Experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience is required.
Certification: Missouri teacher certification and/or substitute teacher certification preferred
Hours of Employment: 7 hours per day Instructional Aide and 1 hour of Adventure Club (totaling 8 hours)

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Base Salary - $17.28 Hourly
Position Type - Full Time
