Supervisor: Principal

Primary Responsibilities: To model, support and implement instructional strategies and
develop structures that support the many different needs of learners. To establish trusting
relationships with classroom teachers, administrators, and other coaches. Models a
positive commitment to continuous learning and supports the learning of others. In
cooperation with the district, building, and administrators, plan a program of study that
meets the individual needs of teachers in alignment with the building improvement plan
and district strategic plan.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:
• Minimum of a Master's Degree and a Missouri teaching certificate and five years
of classroom teaching experience
• Broad knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
• Training and practical experience in instructional management, effective teaching
models, curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Extensive knowledge of Missouri Learning Standards
• Knowledge of research-based and evidence-based instructional strategies
• Evidence of improving student achievement through data-based decision making
• Ability to lead others through proactive and successful change processes.
• Experience leading professional development for others preferred

Terms of Employment: Employed for a ten-month period as a certified educator with
salary and benefits to be set by the superintendent and Board of Education.

Essential Functions:
• Collaborates with administrators, educators, and interventionists to meet the needs
of all students.
• Model teaching lessons in classrooms on a regular basis.
• Support the instructional development of teachers of a specific content assigned
by the administration in understanding curriculum, assessments, and data analysis.
• Provide direction and coordination of teaching consistent with District initiatives
and recognized best instructional practices including universals, classroom
learning systems, and high-leverage practices.
? Assist teachers in understanding authentic learning experiences via the district’s
metaphors
• Provide leadership and support to building teams including PLCs and Leadership
Teams.
• Assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of
differentiated lessons, and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their
students.
• Informally observe lessons and provide feedback for all teachers’ professional
growth and students’ success.
• Develop staff members’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a
variety of professional development-targeted topics and designs.
• Other duties as assigned by the administrator.
