Job Description:
School Psychologists at Special School District (SSD) support students by helping schools understand their academic, social, and emotional needs. In this role, you will lead the special education evaluation process, conduct formal and informal assessments, and chair eligibility conferences to ensure decisions are data-based and aligned with Missouri DESE criteria. You will also work with school teams to implement and monitor evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions designed to support students at all levels of need.
You will serve as a collaborative partner to educators, families, and leadership teams, offering consultation, problem-solving support, and data interpretation to guide instruction and interventions. From conducting functional behavior assessments to participating in IEP and 504 meetings, you will help ensure every student has access to services that meet their individual needs. This position offers the opportunity to practice in an inclusive, student-centered environment while building strong partnerships across the school community.

Education & Experience
- Graduate degree in school psychology required
- Prior experience as a school psychologist preferred
- Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification in school psychology, or eligibility to obtain certification required

- $58,991 - $83,250/year based on education and experience
- 10-month school year (August to June), exact dates dependent on assigned location(s)
