Job Description:
Ozark R-VI School District is seeking a highly qualified High School Athletics/Activities Director to lead and coordinate a comprehensive 7–12 athletics and activities program. The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in Educational Administration (or higher), possess a valid teaching certification, and bring at least three years of teaching experience along with three years of coaching or athletic administration experience. This leadership role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, the ability to supervise staff, and the capacity to work effectively with students, faculty, families, and the community.

The Athletics/Activities Director will oversee all scheduling of interscholastic contests, hire and verify officials, coordinate event personnel, manage activity budgets, and maintain inventories for all sports. This position leads the staffing process for athletic vacancies, ensures required annual training for coaches and sponsors, and monitors student eligibility according to MSHSAA and district standards. The director will serve as a key liaison between coaches, administrators, booster clubs, and departments such as speech and music, while coordinating facility use—including all gym scheduling. Additional responsibilities include supervising night activities, coordinating summer camps, evaluating athletic programs and coaches, and ensuring compliance with Board policies and state guidelines. This is a 12-month, exempt position reporting to the Superintendent and offers a competitive salary based on the Athletic Director schedule.
