The Dunklin R-5 School District has an opening for the position of Family and Consumer Science Teacher for 9th-12th grade students at Herculaneum High School for the 2026-2027 school year.  This position may include additional coaching and sponsor  responsibilities. 

• Student-centered philosophy and desire to build relationships with students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability and desire to work as a member of a Professional Learning Community
• Proficiency in quality instructional practices and ability to differentiate instruction to meet students’ needs
• Ability to work with students with a wide range of abilities
• Ability to incorporate technology within the classroom as an instructional tool
• Ability to track student data while providing resources to meet individual needs
• Experience working in a middle school with knowledge of 6th - 8th curriculum is preferred

Certification: Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary  The successful candidate will have MO DESE certification in B-12 Family & Consumer Science (prefer Occupational FACS certification for career & technical courses) and demonstrate the following:
