Job Description:
This is a one-year only contract that is contingent upon federal funding. The position is funded through federal resources allocated for the current school year, and continuation beyond this period is not guaranteed.
Instructional Support Leader (ISL) Description
The Ferguson-Florissant School District is a community of families and neighborhoods located in suburban St. Louis, MO. Fully-accredited by the state of Missouri, the district provides an excellent comprehensive educational program for nearly 10,000 students from preschool through 12th grade. The district is comprised of seven primary schools (PreK-2), six elementary schools (3-5), two sixth grade centers, two middle schools (7-8), two high schools and one alternative school as well as a nationally-recognized early education program, the PROBE gifted education program, the award-winning Challenger Learning Center, Little Creek Nature Area, the Innovation School at Cool Valley, a STEAM middle school and a STEAM high school.

As an Instructional Support Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting the work of classroom teachers through coaching, modeling, data analysis, and collaborative planning. The ISL builds instuctional capacity, provides professional development, and ensures instructional practices align with district priorities to maximize student learning.

Position Overview Reports To: Building Principal
Employment Terms: Compensated on the Teacher Salary Schedule outlined by the district policy and Collective Bargaining Agreement, depending on experience and education. 187- day contract of employment based on annual evaluation in accordance with this job description, and annual allocation of federal funding for the position.
FLSA: Exempt
Retirement: PSRS
Salary: Minimum $43,000 per year, based on education, experience, and certifications
Calendar: 10-month contract (August-May)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Missouri Teaching Certification in Early Childhood B-3 or Reading K-12 required

- A Master’s degree in education required
- Minimum of 3+ years of teaching experience required
- Must have experience working with adult learners, including coaching, designing, and/or facilitating professional development required
