12 Hour Weekend Custodian - Lindbergh High School
  • Full-time position, 36 hours/week
  • Schedule: 12 months, Friday-Sunday 2:00pm-2:00am
  • Beginning hourly rate: $16.83, + $2.00 premium, subject to experience
  • Full Benefits included: Medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, retirement
  • Non-exempt
Summary:  Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment at the high school through regular cleaning and upkeep. Support all weekend events by performing setup and teardown, monitoring facility use, and opening and closing designated areas. General cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom maintenance
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Cleans and preserves designated spaces, equipment etc in the building. 
  • Perform general cleaning, classrooms, hallways, restrooms,offices, common areas, athletic facilities.
  • Set up, break down and clean spaces for weekend activities, inside and outside, before and after events
  • Assists visiting public utilizing the facilities with directions within the building or in  obtaining and setting up needed equipment and/or materials. 
  • Open and secure building prior to and after scheduled events
  • Speciality weekend cleaning as assigned by the supervisor. 
  • Monitor and restock restroom supplies and trash receptacles as needed. 
  • Report any facility damages, maintenance needs, or safety hazards identified during scheduled events. 
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Overtime as needed

The employee frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head  and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools and  climbs on to ladders. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk  more than the average person while performing the duties of this job. 
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds such as cleaning supplies,  pails and unloading trucks. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move up to 90 lbs such  as salt and bulk furniture. The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables,  bleachers, scrubbing machines. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close  vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
