Southern Boone High School is seeking an energetic, organized Administrative Assistant to join our high school office team. The ideal candidate will be friendly, dependable, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and a strong attendance record. This role involves managing a variety of administrative duties in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. This is a 12-month position.

This role involves managing a variety of administrative duties in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. This is a 12-month position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the high school office staff and administration, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Monitor and record student attendance; communicate with parents regarding student absences.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records using Infinite Campus Student Information System.
- Support student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals in coordination with the registrar and counseling office.
- Handle general office tasks including answering phones, filing (electronic and paper), and managing inquiries.
- Collaborate effectively with Penmac Staffing Services to coordinate substitute needs.
- Attend to minor health needs and provide basic nursing assistance when necessary.
- Process invoices, track office expenses, and produce financial reports as needed.
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain efficiency in a dynamic office environment.
- Ensure strict confidentiality regarding all student, staff, and school-related information.
- Interact positively and professionally with students, staff, parents, and community members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Google Workspace, Infinite Campus, and other standard office software and equipment.
- Ability to manage a variety of responsibilities simultaneously with professionalism and efficiency.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Previous experience in a school or office setting is preferred.
