POSITION TITLE:
 Multi-tiered Systems of Support Coordinator
REPORTS TO:  Assistant Superintendent-Student Services
 
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. Support the effective implementation of the district's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) model and vision. Special School District reimburses funding for the Coordinator for Multi-tiered Systems of Supports position.
 
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Essential Functions
  1. Support the effective implementation of the district's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) model and vision
  2. Work collaboratively with district administrators, school-based leadership teams, teachers, and the community to facilitate the implementation of MTSS at the district and school levels
  3. Actively review the fidelity of the implementation of MTSS at school sites, including the identification of students, delivery of Tier 2 and 3 interventions, and progress monitoring
  4. Coach school sites on analyzing student needs and identifying research-based interventions across academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning (SEL)
  5. Help establish data collection and analysis procedures through a data system to inform decision-making
  6. Design, implement, and support ongoing professional learning experiences for the implementation of MTSS for school-based and district staff
  7. Compile and report on the effectiveness of interventions every quarter to improve district intervention and school systems
  8. Meet with behavior interventionists and building-level teams to analyze and revise school-wide and classroom interventions
  9. Monitor and prompt the use of district processes and procedures (e.g., universal classroom walkthrough)
  10. Ensure district-level communication of MTSS expectations (academics, behavioral, social/emotional)
  11. Provide coaching support and feedback to school-based MTSS teams
  12. Assist school teams in using district-established criteria, tools, and sources of data/evidence to identify student needs, target skills, prescribed interventions, and develop high-quality intervention plans
  13. Evaluate and support the (MTSS) team members in supporting the schools that they serve
 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of / Experience with:
Skills and Abilities: These skills may be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position
  1. Knowledge of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) model, implementation of MTSS, and intervention strategies
  2. Experience designing and delivering professional development
  3. Ability to demonstrate facilitation skills in large and small group meetings
  4. Ability to plan, organize, and work collaboratively with other teams
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create positive relationships
  6. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  7. Proficient in intervention management software and Google programs, including Google Slides, Documents, Surveys, and Excel
  8. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple administrative departments and all district schools
  9. Experience working with similar urban demographics
  10. Managing the analysis and presentation of data and the progress of data-driven initiatives for the leadership team(s)
  11. Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
  12. Superior interpersonal skills
  13. Accurate and attentive to detail
Education:
  1. Educational Administration Certification
  2. Five years or more working in an educational setting
  3. Experience supervising  a team of educators
  4. Experience with special education process
  5. Experience implementing MTSS (multi-tiered systems of support)
 
Educational Administration certification and equivalent 5 years or more working experience
 
Salary:  Assigned to the Same Level as Early Childhood Site Coordinator on the Administrative Salary Schedule. 12-Month Administrator Work Calendar.
