FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Essential Functions
- Support the effective implementation of the district's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) model and vision
- Work collaboratively with district administrators, school-based leadership teams, teachers, and the community to facilitate the implementation of MTSS at the district and school levels
- Actively review the fidelity of the implementation of MTSS at school sites, including the identification of students, delivery of Tier 2 and 3 interventions, and progress monitoring
- Coach school sites on analyzing student needs and identifying research-based interventions across academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning (SEL)
- Help establish data collection and analysis procedures through a data system to inform decision-making
- Design, implement, and support ongoing professional learning experiences for the implementation of MTSS for school-based and district staff
- Compile and report on the effectiveness of interventions every quarter to improve district intervention and school systems
- Meet with behavior interventionists and building-level teams to analyze and revise school-wide and classroom interventions
- Monitor and prompt the use of district processes and procedures (e.g., universal classroom walkthrough)
- Ensure district-level communication of MTSS expectations (academics, behavioral, social/emotional)
- Provide coaching support and feedback to school-based MTSS teams
- Assist school teams in using district-established criteria, tools, and sources of data/evidence to identify student needs, target skills, prescribed interventions, and develop high-quality intervention plans
- Evaluate and support the (MTSS) team members in supporting the schools that they serve

- Knowledge of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) model, implementation of MTSS, and intervention strategies
- Experience designing and delivering professional development
- Ability to demonstrate facilitation skills in large and small group meetings
- Ability to plan, organize, and work collaboratively with other teams
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create positive relationships
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in intervention management software and Google programs, including Google Slides, Documents, Surveys, and Excel
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple administrative departments and all district schools
- Experience working with similar urban demographics
- Managing the analysis and presentation of data and the progress of data-driven initiatives for the leadership team(s)
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Educational Administration Certification
- Five years or more working in an educational setting
- Experience supervising a team of educators
- Experience with special education process
- Experience implementing MTSS (multi-tiered systems of support)
