Job Description:
The Johnson County R-VII School District is seeking a Secondary (6-12) Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. Qualified applicants must have appropriate certification and a thorough understanding of the special education process. Teachers are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning. Qualified Applicants will: demonstrate appropriate preparation for instruction, choose and implement appropriate methodology and varied instructional strategies that address the diversity of the learners, provide continuous feedback to students and families, communicate appropriately with students, parents, community and staff, use various ongoing assessments to monitor the effectiveness of instruction, and align the assessments with the goals, objectives and instructional strategies of the district curriculum guides and/or IEPs.
