CERTIFIED POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Elementary Computer Lab Teacher
Coaching Opportunities Available
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree with DESE certification in Elementary Education.
Preferred: Master’s degree with a concentration in Elementary Educational Technology and Elementary teaching experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with classroom teachers and provide support to enhance curriculum by the use of technology; to annually document Internet Safety to K-5 students and continue to review and discuss Digital Citizenship; to routinely provide instruction on basic keyboarding skills; continually review and refresh lessons with the most up-to-date technology tools.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment is on an annual basis. The Building Principal makes employment recommendations in March of each year for the next fiscal year. The final decision is made by the Board of Education. Salary is based on the Certificated Salary Schedule adopted annually by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of MSBA Board of Education Policy on Evaluation of Professional Staff (GCN).

- Collaborate with K-5 classroom teachers to provide technology lessons to support classroom curriculum.
- Develop lessons that allow students to be 21st Century thinkers.
- Available to students and parents for education-related purposes.
- Creates an environment for learning through enriched activity.
- Provides guidance for research skills through the use of district research digital tools.
- Attend technology in service.
- Partake in technology committees, as needed.
- Other duties assigned by building principal(s).
