Science Teacher 2025-2026
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
Maintain accurate records of all students.
Develop schemes of work and lesson plans
Utilizes effective classroom management techniques
Work collaborative with building administration, teachers, parents/guardians and students.
Utilizes effective classroom management techniques.
Establish an effective rapport with students assigned.
Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs.
Utilizes technology to support instruction.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Manage student behavior.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal, including presentations.
Ability to use basic, job related equipment.
Be self-motivated.
Flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances and a diverse group of individuals.
Knowledge of NCLB (No Child Left Behind), FERPA and other federal, state and local guidelines.
Passionate about improving urban public education and devoted to making a difference.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or above in Education
Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate
