Job Summary:
The Coordinator of Instructional Practices, Research, and State Compliance plays a key role in promoting academic excellence, maintaining instructional integrity, and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal educational requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating curriculum and instruction efforts, overseeing educational research and data analysis, and managing state compliance reporting. The Coordinator works closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Practices
  • Support the implementation of effective instructional strategies across all grade levels (K–8).
  • Collaborate with teachers and instructional leaders to align curriculum with state standards and learning objectives.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to promote instructional best practices.
  • Facilitate professional development focused on pedagogy, differentiation, assessment, and student engagement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of intervention programs to support struggling learners.
Research and Data Analysis
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret academic performance data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Create reports and dashboards to monitor student achievement, growth, and school-wide trends.
  • Guide data-driven conversations among staff to identify instructional strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed on current educational research and use findings to enhance school practices.
State Compliance
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all state and federal education mandates, including reporting for assessments, attendance, discipline, special education, and English language learners.
  • Manage the preparation and timely submission of required state and district reports.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to ensure policies and procedures meet compliance expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits, site visits, and accountability reviews.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification and administrative endorsement (or eligibility) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in education, with demonstrated expertise in curriculum and instruction.
  • Knowledge of state educational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in a K–8 setting
  • Familiarity with state reporting systems (e.g., MiDataHub, CEPI, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse school environment

Working Conditions:
  • Primarily school-based with occasional travel for training or professional development.
