Job Description:
SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator is responsible for development and support of technology related applications and distributions of systems over the District network. Employee will supervise assigned systems in regards to installation, maintenance, and day-to-day operation and associated computer hardware and software. Employee coordinates with the Director of Technology the evaluation of the district’s system structure needs and recommends improvements or modifications to existing solutions. Employee will provide redundant basic support of the District Network Engineer and also provide support and guidance to District Technology Technicians.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUGGESTED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a two-year college or technical school and two years’ experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work Calendar: 246 Days
Compensation: $46,022.00 with consideration for experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Installs, repairs, maintains, and upgrades technology-related systems within the District.
- Reads and interprets systems schematics and manuals.
- Administers the following systems (but not limited to, or removal of): Windows Imaging Creation, Multifunction Printing Environment, Access Control (door access, badge creation, door schedules, provide reports), IP-based Intercom/Bell Systems, District Phone System, Security Cameras, Assist in account creation and administration
- Maintains documentation regarding systems configuration, operating procedures, and service records relating to systems hardware and software.
- Assists in developing and planning for short-term and long-term technology initiatives.
- Cross train for redundancy within the Technology Department employee structure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of technology-based systems.
- Strong knowledge of computers, servers, operating systems, and related technology devices.
- Strong knowledge of technology integration, administration, operation, and support.
- Basic knowledge of current systems technologies and future trends.
- Strong ability to systematically troubleshoot all technical devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technology staff and all users.
