Job Description:
The Dunklin R-5 School District is seeking a talented and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join the Dunklin R-5 team at Taylor Early Childhood Center for the 2025-2026 school year. Taylor Early Childhood provides educational services to students 3-5 years of age. Early childhood special education certification is required.
The successful candidate will have MO DESE certification in Early Childhood Special Education and demonstrate the following:

Certification: The candidate must possess a Special Education Certification with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience. (First-year teacher base salary of $43,500.00; Step 1)
Benefits: Board-paid health, Life, and Dental Insurance. Employees will be offered, on a fee basis, in-district childcare for ages birth through two, with preschool available from ages 3 to 5. PSRS Retirement, optional supplemental insurance plans, and optional 403b; 457 plans. Twelve (12) Personal Days, Paid Jury Duty, ten (10) Paid Professional Development Days, ten (10) School Business Days, and five (5) Paid Bereavement Days.

- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability and desire to work as a member of a Professional Learning Community
- Proficiency in quality instructional practices and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet students' needs
- Ability to work with pre-k students with mild/moderate disabilities in an integrated pre-k classroom with typically developing peers, and in a self-contained setting as well.
- Ability to write IEPs and keep data on IEP goals.
