Job Description:
The Newburg R-II School District anticipates a position will be available for k-12 music teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Our district has approximately 370 students in grades PreK-12. We operate on a 4 day school week.
Newburg is located in South Central Missouri approximately 10 miles west of Rolla on Interstate 44. It is a small, rural community with outstanding students and staff. We place great value on small class sizes throughout our district and benefit from a tremendously caring staff and faculty and a highly supportive school board and community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
- To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
- To motivate students to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
- To provide positive feedback and encouragement for students.
- To facilitate an environment that promotes academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
- To implement a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
- To assess student progress, provide students and parents with specific feedback regarding progress, and use the data to adjust instruction as needed.
- To perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators..
