Job Description: The Crawford County R-II School District is seeking to hire an Elementary Music Instructor at Cuba Elementary School for the 2025-26 School year.   
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
• To motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
• Provides positive feedback and encouragement for students.
• Facilitate an environment that promotes improved oral and written English skills, academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
• Organizes and uses a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
• Assesses student progress, provides students and parents with specific feedback, and uses the results to adjust instruction as needed; serves as a communication link between school and home.
• Direct grade-level programs during the school year.
• Direct concerts/performances as requested by the community.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators.

TEACHING ASSIGNMENT:

• Elementary Music Instructor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the major area of study
• Certification:  Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in K-12 Music (Vocal or Instrumental)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
