POSITION TITLE: Assistant Robotics Coach
STIPEND:$2,000
REPORTS TO: Robotics Coach
Position Overview
The Assistant Robotics Coach will support the Robotics Coach in recruiting and training students for robotics competitions. This role includes assisting students with the design and building of robots to compete in various events. The Assistant Coach will help supervise team meetings and ensure a positive and safe learning environment for all participants.
Essential Job Duties
September – October: Game reveal, robot build season, continued training.
November – February: Competition season within Kansas and Missouri.
March – April: Continued build season, regional and state championships (if qualified), or begin off-season activities.
May – July: Plan summer camp, off-season projects, outreach, and fundraising.

Position Overview
The Assistant Robotics Coach will support the Robotics Coach in recruiting and training students for robotics competitions. Essential Job Duties
- Team Supervision: Supervise weekly team meetings and additional meetings as required leading up to competitions.
- Event Planning: Help plan a First Tech Challenge (FTC) competition event at Sion once per year.
- Community Outreach: Coordinate occasional community outreach demonstrations and volunteer opportunities.
- Summer Camp Supervision: With the head coach to supervise a one-day summer camp for incoming freshmen and students new to robotics.
- Safety and Maintenance: Maintain equipment/tools and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communication: Communicate pertinent information to students, parents, mentors, and sponsors.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure safe tool usage, appropriate technology use, and clean-up of the shop/lab after each meeting.
- FTC Schedule Commitment:
