Job Description:
                                                   The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of:
                                                                                             5th Grade Math Teacher
                                                                                              2025-2026 School Year
 
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelors' Degree
Elementary certification: 1-6 or 5-9 math

Length of contract: 179 Days

• demonstrate a solid understanding of mathematical concepts for the grade level.
• understand the importance of intentional planning and backwards design; proactively plan for instruction.
• have knowledge of the current shifts in education standards and practices.
• utilize data to drive instruction and grouping of students.
• be a proactive communicator with parents and colleagues.
• demonstrate effective classroom management strategies.
• display and employ enthusiasm for teaching and expect students to enjoy learning.
• effectively integrate technology to enhance learning.
• work collaboratively with other staff members of the department, building, and district.
• be open to implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supporst (PBIS) within the classroom.
• be open to working as a collaborative team embracing Professional Learning Communities (PLC) philosophy.
