Spirit Shop Coordinator - Part Time
This part time position is a unique opportunity for an energetic multi-task-oriented individual to work with multiple resources in a dynamic school environment. The Spirit Shop Coordinator is a 12-month position, including some nights and weekends, averaging 20 hours per week, beginning July 1, 2024.
This contract position reports to the Director of Advancement and works closely with the CFO and members of the Advancement team. The Spirit Shop Coordinator will contribute to advancing the school by propelling the image and identity through merchandise and apparel for the SJA community.  This position is responsible for the management of the Spirit Shop and all St. Joseph’s Academy brand merchandise to be sold in the on-campus shop and online for a profit-making entity for the school.
Specific Responsibilities:
  •  Responsible for buying and choosing branded merchandise that positively reflects the St. Joseph’s Academy brand and appeals to varied customer segments, primarily, students, parents, alumnae, faculty/staff and friends of SJA.
  • Manage the store’s visual presentation to create an exciting campus and on-line
    store environment.
  • Work with vendors on product selection, negotiate pricing and delivery. Establish
    retail pricing.
  • Controls product inventory levels to determine the quantity of merchandise to buy; place
    orders to vendors in a timely manner based on campus events.
  • Works with the school’s Technology, Admissions, Finance, Advancement and Marketing
    departments to ensure effective retail operation, on-line store, appropriate branding, and
    promotion to drive sales. This position also interacts with students.
  • Works to secure volunteers to cover store hours and special events and provide appropriate supervision and training.
Qualifications:
  •  Knowledge of POS software, preferably Square, is a plus.
  •  3+ years experience in retail and marketing.
  •  Demonstrates the ability to assess merchandise current trends
  •  Detail oriented, flexible working style
  •  Creative, goal and results-oriented professional.
  •  Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  •  Independent worker with organizational and time management skills.
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with volunteers.
