Job Description:
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
This position collaborates with the Student Ministry Director to assist in leading Pathfinder’s student ministry, while owning student ministry worship.
ATTRIBUTES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Help plan and lead student ministry events and volunteer teams;
• Regularly provide leadership at CORE (6th – 8th), Commit (Confirmation), and Summit (9th – 12th);
• Oversee weekly Next Generation worship environments for 5th Element, CORE (6th – 8th), and Summit (9th – 12th):
o Recruit, schedule, and develop student musicians; o Oversee the selection of music, creation of tracks, and slides;
o Plan and lead rehearsals; o Work closely with our Worship Director, School of the Arts Director, and Chapel Band Director to cultivate a common vision for worship arts at Pathfinder and St. John School;
o Take ownership of their part in Pathfinder and St. John School’s musician/artist development pipeline;
o Build community among student worship volunteers to make volunteering in student ministry worship a profoundly enriching experience; o Coordinate baccalaureate services.
• Assist with student ministry logistics such as scheduling, publicity, parent communication, room reservations, attendance, and database management;
• Build relationships with students to minister to them in their faith journey; Job Description
• Ensure child protection policies are followed;
• Attend worship and series planning meetings to provide input and feedback;
• Occasionally assist the Worship Director with special sanctuary worship services;
• Help with at least three of Pathfinder’s “Front Door Events” each year;
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience working with middle and high school students;
• Experienced spiritual and musical mentor – able to develop students at a variety of faith and musical skill levels;
• Worship Band Leader experience in a modern setting;
• Talented vocalist and instrumentalist;
• A bachelor’s degree, experience with Microsoft office, ProPresenter, Planning Center Online, and the aptitude to learn software such as Rock RMS, Main Stage and/or Ableton Live.
• Willing to become a member of Pathfinder and regularly attend worship;
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week. Must have flexibility to occasionally work longer hours based upon the demands of ministry, and participate in Student Ministry overnight retreats/mission trips.
