Job Description:
                   The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of:
                                                                 Physical Education Teacher
                                                                                 (Grades 5-6)
 

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate. 
  • Experience preferred, but not required.       
  • Additional Content Certifications (Preferred or Willing to Obtain)
• Coach at the middle and/or high school levels is expected

 
The successful candidate will:

• utilize data to determine learning needs of students.
• coach multiple sports at the middle/high level.
• articulate effective classroom management strategies.
• be able to articulate how formative assessment strategies will be used in the physical education classroom.
• work collaboratively with other staff members of the department and building.
• be a proactive communicator with parents and colleagues.
• promote academic language to enhance student learning.
• detail how they will develop and maintain positive relationships with students.
• clearly communicate how students will be engaged in their classroom.
• describe the importance of physical education and how instruction will mirror that in the classroom.

Length of Contract:  9.25 month
