Job Title: General Studies Principal
Location: Missouri Torah Institute – Chesterfield, Missouri
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 1:30 PM - 6:30 PM
About Us: Missouri Torah Institute is a renowned religious all-boys high school dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where students develop academically, spiritually, and emotionally. With both dormitory and non-dormitory students, we offer a comprehensive education that emphasizes character formation, leadership development, and academic excellence. The school has a dual curriculum, with religious studies in the morning and general studies in the afternoon.
Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the General Studies Principal at our institution beginning this coming school year. As the leader of the General Studies department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic program, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting the holistic development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
· Curriculum Development: Develop and oversee the implementation of a rigorous and engaging curriculum for the General Studies department, ensuring alignment with educational standards and the mission of the school.
· Faculty Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to General Studies faculty members, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning community.
· Staff Recruitment: Lead the recruitment and hiring process for General Studies faculty and staff, selecting individuals who demonstrate a commitment to our educational philosophy and values.
· Discipline and Student Support: Establish and enforce disciplinary policies and procedures within the General Studies department, while also providing academic and behavioral support to students as needed.
· Student Placement: Ensure appropriate student placement and support services, recognizing and addressing individual student needs.
· Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress, departmental initiatives, and opportunities for parental involvement.
· Professional Development: Arrange and facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for General Studies staff, including workshops, and in-service training sessions to enhance teaching practices and promote continuous growth.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Education Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational leadership roles.
· Strong understanding of educational standards and best practices, with a commitment to academic excellence and character development.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, parents, and other stakeholders.
