Employment Opportunity for the
2024-2025 School Year
.5 Preschool Teacher/.5 Pedagogista
Supervisor: ECC School Principal
Primary Responsibilities: This position is a half day preschool teacher and a half day pedagogista.
Preschool Teacher:
To lead student toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth and maturation in early childhood education.
Pedagogista:
To model instructional strategies and develop structures that support the many different needs of learners.
Qualifications/Experience: Missouri teaching certificate in the area of early childhood education. Minimum of a Master's Degree with special preparation in Reggio Inspired Practices, completion of a supervised Pedagogista internship and a Missouri teaching certificate.
Terms of Employment: Employed for a ten-month period as a certified educator with salary and benefits to be set by the superintendent and Board of Education.

- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
- Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
- Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.

- Serves as an instructional leader to assist teachers with achievement of educational program goals.
- Promotes positive school climate and assists in the development of appropriate measures for improvement.
- Assists curriculum action teams in planning and implementation of instructional programs.
- Makes non-evaluative classroom observations and provides feedback to improve Reggio inspired practice.
- Provides information on finding and using instructional resources.
- Helps teachers connect research and practice to district curriculum.
- Understands a tiered-response to intervention for students needing additional support or enrichment and helps teachers consider how to best implement intervention strategies.
- Analyzes student achievement data and makes recommendations for improvement strategies.
- Collaborates with special educators and interventionists to meet the needs of all students.
- Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives with assistance from certified staff.
- Participates in meetings as required or appropriate.
- Assists in the preparation of training and resources to support instruction.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with others.
- Effectively communicates with staff, students, and parents in a variety of formats.
- Models a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning for others.
- Makes others and leads others in making decisions that are in the best interest of every child.
