Girls 7th Grade Basketball Coach
Position Overview:
The district is seeking a dedicated and passionate Basketball Coach for the upcoming season. This position involves coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive culture, requiring the individual to have an understanding of basketball, excellent coaching skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Salary: Level 4 position on the salary schedule (starting pay of $3,240) with up to 7 years of basketball coaching experience considered for initial placement on the salary schedule. Extra Duty Salary Schedule

Girls 7th Grade Basketball Coach
Position Overview:
The district is seeking a dedicated and passionate Basketball Coach for the upcoming season. This position involves coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive culture, requiring the individual to have an understanding of basketball, excellent coaching skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Program Expectations:
- Effective program and team management.
- Responsible for the girls 7th grade basketball program at De Soto Schools.
- Develop team strategies and tactics to maximize performance.
- Comprehensive basketball development along with mentoring and leadership.
- Work closely with the area community programs, such as local colleges, for collaboration, player development opportunities, and cross-program development.
- Effective internal and external communication
- Effectively and regularly communicate through Remind, phone calls, email, Facebook, district website, and VNN to athletes, parents, administration, district and community members.
- Organize team meetings, parent meetings, and communicate important information about the basketball program.
- Day-to-day management and oversight of the program, including equipment and facilities.
- Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork.
- Plan and execute effective practice sessions, including range set-up, equipment checks, transportation of equipment, and transportation to and from practice.
Qualifications:
- Meet appropriate MSHSAA guidelines.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the Jr. High or High School level or above.
- In-depth knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Must be available in the evening and weekend hours.
