Auditorium Site-Supervisor - Lindbergh High School
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Auditorium Site-Supervisor - Lindbergh High School
- Schedule: hours may vary, part time hours mainly in the evenings and weekends
- Starting Hourly rate: $25.00/hour
- Application deadline: Position will remain posted until filled. Hiring for multiple openings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Auditorium Manager to develop, implement and monitor policies to ensure a safe work environment.
- Interacts and communicates effectively with staff team members, community groups, adults and students of all ages
- Work with the custodial team to ensure space is properly unlocked and set-up prior to the event and cleaned, locked up, and secure post event.
- Read and interpret draftings, light, and sound plots
- Create technical paperwork as needed
- Oversees and assists with all event load-ins and load outs.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate
- Set-up, teardown and operate theatrical lighting,video, sound, and rigging equipment
- Teach and supervise Auditorium Assistants and student on all equipment
- Provides an annual technical inventory of all equipment with recommendations for replacement, or refurbishment as needed.
- Monitors the condition of and performs preventive maintenance on all equipment including lighting, video sound, and rigging equipment;
- Performs minor repairs on audiovisual and technical equipment
- Makes recommendations to the Auditorium Manager regarding capital purchases of technical equipment
- Stays abreast of new technology and software relative to theatrical lighting,video, sound, and rigging.
- Aware of and reports all broken equipment and unsafe situations
- Attend all events as scheduled
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and orderly environment
- Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, especially evenings and weekends
- Perform additional auditorium or event duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of use and operation of sound reinforcement, lighting, rigging systems, set design and movements, and audiovisual equipment required.
- Knowledge and experience with carpentry tools
- Familiarity with ADA and OSHA compliance
- Skill in routine maintenance and minor repair of audiovisual and theatrical equipment.
- Proficient in MS Office software and Google applications.
- Ability to push or lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, walk, and reach
- Ability to bend, twist, lift and manipulate equipment and supplies
- Comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet or more from ground level
