Physical Therapist (PT)
For the 25-26 School Year

Position Summary: The Physical Therapist (PT) will develop, plan, implement, and support specialized physical therapy
programs and services for eligible, identified students in accordance with the Individualized Education Plan. Services include direct
service and/or consultation with school staff, families, medical personnel, community agencies, and others as needed.


Basic Requirements:
  1. 1. Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy or a Master’s Degree if graduated after December 31, 2002.
    2. Hold an active and valid Physical Therapy license issued by the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
    3. Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
    4. Knowledge, use, and application of technology in an education setting.
    5. Skills in word processing.
    6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    7. Deadline and detail-oriented.
    8. Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all areas.
    9. Ability to physically move throughout all district buildings and campus locations.
    10. Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work products.

De Soto, “The City of Pride”, has a population of 6,375 and is located in the southeastern part of Missouri, approximately 45 miles south of St. Louis.

District Facts: 
Current enrollment-- approximately 2,400 students. 
Current number of certified staff—approximately 190
100% 1:1 technology integration with Chromebooks grades K-12

Timeline: Open Until Filled

Salary:  Starting at $51,250, for a Master's Degree with no previous experience. The district will provide credit for up to 10 years of experience in a school setting, plus one additional year of credit for every two years of additional school-based experience beyond that.
