The Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified and collaborative educational leader for the position of Director of Budgeting and Financial Compliance. Candidates should be prepared to provide vision and leadership toward achievement of the district's strategic plan through the execution of specific job responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversees and assists school administration with creating the school year budgets, funding formulas for schools, and revenue estimates for the District as a whole.
- Assists school administration with budget requests during the budget development process.
- Prepares budgetary/financial analysis, forecasts, and presentations on the status of the budget, possible outcomes, and other projections.
- Performs regular review of schools’ budgets.
- Develops models simulating District’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year and/or future years.
- Assists school administration in identifying financial and budgetary issues throughout the year.
- Oversees the fiscal management of federal grants and communicates requirements.
- Enters and submits the federal program budgets, budget revisions, and Final Expenditure Reports into DESE’s ePegs system.
- Ensures internal compliance with federal guidelines, state statutes, and administrative regulations for all federal programming.
- Plans, administers and monitors all federal budgets including state/federal grants in collaboration with school level administrators.
- Provides leadership and direction for all state and federal programs, to include, budgeting and reporting.
- Assists with developing, monitoring, and managing all aspects of the annual budgets for federal programs; and coordinates budget requests with individual schools relative to federal programs.
- Maintains open communication with executive staff and various levels of support staff.
- Ensures reimbursements are requested from DESE in a timely manner.
- Tracks reimbursements and ensures the District is effectively spending funds on a timely fashion.
- Supports the Chief Financial Officer in achieving organizational objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or business required
- Master's Degree, CPA, and/or Missouri Association of School Business Officials School Business Specialist Certification preferred
- School related finance experience preferred
Length of Contract: 260 days
