Psychologist (K-8th Grade)

This posting is for a position during the 2023-2024 school year which would start in August 2023.

Minimum Qualifications 
  • Missouri school psychologist certification or eligibility for certification
  • Advanced degree in psychology or closely related field   
  • Near native fluency in spoken and written English
Nice-to-Haves- Skills and qualities that are a plus but not necessarily a requirement
  • Employment experience in K-8th grade setting
  • Strong data tracking and interpretation habits
  • Solid understanding of academic and behavioral strategies for students with various needs
  • Knowledge of best practices when working with language learners 
Responsibilities
  • Provides appropriate, research-based scaffolds and differentiates instruction
  • Implements Individualized Education Plans and student goals
  • Collects and analyzes data, and uses it to drive decisions 
  • Collect and analyzes data to track IEP goal progress to drive intervention planning
  • Implements Individualized Education Plans and student goals
  • Maintains student records; prepares reports on student performance; prepares other reports as requested.
  • Consult with colleagues, supervisors, and other professionals regarding the special education and general education needs of individual students. 
  • Administer diagnostic tests and procedures to determine students’ cognitive capability, processing strengths and weaknesses, adaptive behavior development, academic achievement levels and emotional/behavioral functioning.
  • Provide crisis intervention, individual and group counseling as needed
  • Facilitate school-based benchmarking and progress monitoring procedures.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the problem solving / RTI process.
  • Complete informal assessments including observations, curriculum-based measurements, functional behavior assessments and other structured clinical tasks for at-risk students in the general education setting.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is competitive and rages from $44,900 – $71,185. Our salaries are well-above market rate: SLLIS salaries are higher than 97% of public schools in Missouri. Your salary would be based on the highest postsecondary degree you have obtained and the number of years of experience you have. SLLIS also offers the following:
