The Valley Park School District invites passionate, energetic, student-centered educators to apply for the position of Dean of Students for the 2023-2024 school year. This is an ideal position for a collaborative educator with a vision for developing students socially, emotionally, physically, and academically today in preparation for tomorrow. 

Key responsibilities:

• Provide coordination and leadership to ensure the effective and efficient development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive athletic and extracurricular program for students following state law, MSHSAA requirements, and board policy.
• Address inappropriate behavior of students for the purpose of assisting students in modifying such behavior and developing successful interpersonal skills.
• Organization, administration, supervision, and evaluation of the overall student activity and athletic programs.
• Coordinating the 9-12 athletic program and junior high offerings in collaboration with principals and coaches to ascertain programmatic needs on an annual basis, as well as prior to each season, to ensure consistency of the program.
• Collaborating with coaches, moderators, students, and the community to create a vision for successful, student-focused athletic and extracurricular programs.
