Job Description:
The Mexico Public School District is accepting applications for the position of Transportation and Maintenance Secretary.  This position is a 12 month position with benefits. 
A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
A high level of competence in clerical skills
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Enter student bus information into SK12 and maintain ridership list for DESE headcounts.
Answer phone calls & secretaries’ questions about  bus #’s., pickup and drop off locations.
Assist all schools in identifying addresses and which elementary school they should be attending.
Update bus routes.
Maintain files and collect money for paid transportation students.
Send out bids, collect information, type Bid Analysis Report, code with proper account number and type necessary purchase orders.
Prepare information for state reports & auditors.
Send proper license documentation to state for Bus Drivers CDL & Bus License & Bus Permits.
Check Bus Drivers time sheets and in-town and out-of-town trip sheets for proper mileage and pay.
Collect work orders from all locations and give to Operations Manager. 
For emergency work orders, immediately notify Operations Manager.
Notify Operations Manager about known Missouri One Calls if close to fiber-optic cable.
Collect and retain current file on Emergency Drills for each building site.
Assist in mail room during absence of regular attendant.
Answer phone, record messages, greet visitors as needed.
